Pro tip: If you just want to find quick hookups, you can just go for matches and never even have to explore the rest of AFF. On the other hand, if you want to explore the community and interact with members on a long-term basis, then you’ll need to spend more time getting familiar with the app (it’s well worth it).

Creating an account on AFF was a cinch. After submitting some age verification and location information (by country and zip code), you’ll provide your email and a password. Once I verified my email from an automated response, you’ll be good to go for the free user experience on AFF.
To test the website, I didn’t add a photo for a few days. During this period, I wanted to see if any profiles reached out to me - a good way to test for bots and spammers, as regular users are unlikely to reach out to a profile with no photo. Conclusion? No one reached out to me!
Next, I added two pictures - one artsy torso shot and a funny dick pic. Instead of instantly messaging people on AFF, I waited a few days to see if anyone reached out. Again, no one reached out!
After this introductory period, it was time to start reaching out and messaging other users. As a fair assessment, I contacted over 50 women in a variety of ways.
