If you look at the table above you probably get the gist of what we’re about to say. Compared to a legit hookup app that has 50 million+ members like AFF, BangBuddies.com falls short, very short.
There were a few main issues that we had with the site that every guy needs to know about first:
Their user numbers are VERY misleading
When you look at the posted user number by state above it looks like there are a ton of people using BangBuddies. That just isn’t the case. Searching through the profiles it’s obvious that there isn’t millions and millions of users on this site.
This is especially obvious when you see our next point.
Almost nobody is updating their profiles (this site is dead)
On the main page there is a section that tracks user updates. When you have a site that says it has millions of members but there hasn’t been an update in 22 hours something doesn’t add up.
It’s pretty obvious at this point that this site is completely dead. There are very few, if any, single women using it and any guy needs to skip it completely. There are legit hookup sites out there that actually work that you should spend your time on instead (like AFF).

Bang Buddies has a banging logo
One thing I can say for this site right off the bat: they have a great logo. The initials BB are used cleverly together to make a demon-like figure, with little horns and a tail. Sure, it’s devilish, but in a seductive way. The black and red lettering has a sort of mischievous feel. It’s a great look for a one-night stand dating site.
Unfortunately, my impressions of the site went down as I created an account. If you want to save some time skip this app and try out one of the sites on our top hookup app review.
AFF is by far a better site than BangBuddies
If you have yet to give up on BangBuddies.com (who doesn’t love the name) now is the time. You are going to get way, way, better results if you cut the cord and try out AFF (which has a free trial).
Bang Buddies has nowhere near the 60,000,000+ active members that AFF has and therefore has nowhere near the opportunities to meet attractive women. They just can’t compete!
The only real competition is Tinder but we have found that guys who are not very handsome (like really good-looking) can have a really tough time with Tinder. All the hottest guys get like 80% of the attention.
With AFF it is a more even playing field and there are just way more women than other hookup sites (especially if you are interested in women 28+).

Explicit content
When I first went to the site I saw that next to the signup window there was a picture of a beautiful woman in a red dress. Then I made a screen name and clicked “next”. On the following screen, there was the same woman, but the dress was pulled halfway down. This same trend continued until I was all signed up and the woman in the picture was totally undressed. Very classy (not).
But that was just the beginning. As soon as I signed in, I found it hard to get a single screenshot that did not include some explicit content. There were women’s profiles with totally “adult” pictures. There were explicit messages popping up. It was starting to look like a trashy magazine store in there.
This is a red flag for bad dating sites. A real dating site is trying to help you meet women in real life, not just see explicit photos of them on the internet.
Spam threat
Another red flag that came up early while I was researching for this BangBuddies review was a strange request from the site. Right after I signed up, they took me to a page where it explained how to unblock their emails from my spam filter. In light of my experience with this site, here is a new rule: any site that makes you unblock them from your email spam filter is probably going to send you a lot of spam. It’s not a promising sign.
Bang Buddies is not a free dating site
Yes, you can sign in for free. You can even see some of their profile pictures for free. But you can’t really do anything else. You can’t send messages, set up dates, or even look at a woman’s full profile without giving them your credit card information.
A lot of dating sites have premium memberships that you have to pay for. It’s not necessarily a scam. But, when you can’t even do basic services without first paying, it begs the question: Why not? How can you know what you are signing up for if you can’t even click on a woman’s profile?
Tons of fake messages
It was frustrating to not be able to send messages because I kept on receiving alerts from other members on the site. They would pop up and ask me for a photo, or say that the member liked me. But, when I tried to contact them I would get another pop up that said, “Only premium members can contact ______”. This is one of the most common and most annoying attributes of sketchy dating sites: they make sure that you get a ton of messages that you can’t reply to without first paying.
It all makes me wonder why these women were messaging me in the first place. I had no profile picture or even personal description. I was, in other words, the most boring kind of profile you could imagine.
No fake profiles, supposedly
BangBuddies has a whole clause in their user agreement (which I read through for this BangBuddies review) about how they DON’T create fake profiles. It says: “Unlike many competitors, this Site does not contain any profiles created by the Service whether to increase member numbers or entertain or otherwise engage with users of the Service nor for any other purpose.” That sounds pretty promising because there are definitely a lot of other services that do use fake profiles.
However, given my experiences with these messages from random, beautiful women, I was having a hard time believing that their claim was true. So, I dug a little bit deeper into the user agreement.
At one point, the user agreement says that its member counts may be wrong because it “will include all accounts (both free and paid) created since the inception of the Bangbuddies.com website as we do not purge inactive accounts.” But why would a website keep old profiles on their site when the members no longer log in?
After I read that I went on to read about something that they call “introductions”. These were the alerts that I had been receiving from all those women. The fine print says, “The Site may cause pop-ups to display as a system notification on your screen while you are viewing the Site.” In other words, they can send totally fake messages from any account in their service. Who needs to make fake profiles when you can send fake messages from real accounts?
Sharing is caring (unless it’s your personal information!)
Another thing that I came across while reading the fine print was a clause that said, “When you create a profile with Bangbuddies.com, your profile will be shared with other dating and ‘hook-up’ websites which contain members of the Site.” That’s pretty sketchy! They don’t even list which other sites these may be. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want my Facebook profile to show up on LinkedIn, and I wouldn’t want my BangBuddies profile showing up on some other dating site!
It also made me realize that they probably have so many “not fake” profiles because they are shared with so many other sites. Not only do they share profiles, but they also send messages from them without your consent. Scam alert!
No social media presence
Another red flag that I noticed while researching this BangBuddies review was that they have no social media accounts. I couldn’t find a Facebook profile or anything. Most legit dating sites will try to maximize the amount of interaction they have with their members so that people keep logging in and meeting people. The only reason that a dating site wouldn’t have a social media account is if they wanted to fly below the radar. Legit dating sites don’t want to fly below the radar, they want to be all over that radar!
Bang Buddies wants your picture
Say cheese! Bang Buddies wants to take your picture. But not because they want to give you a nice portrait to use as your profile picture. No, they want to steal your picture and use it for their own promotional purposes. They even admit it in their user agreement: “You also authorize Bangbuddies.com to post any and all photographs uploaded by you throughout BangBuddies.com and other associated websites featuring other members of the Service.” If that’s not scammy sounding, I don’t know what is.
Bang Buddies won’t help you bang and they aren’t your buddies!
Seriously, this site is not out there to help you meet older women. They are full of all the classic scams. They have fake profiles, fake messages, warnings about how they will take your photo and use it themselves. Why would you ever sign up for such a site?
Sadly, if you had high hopes for BangBuddies, we have to report that this site just isn’t worth your time.
