How does that line from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet go again? “A dating scam by any other name would smell as rotten.” I think it’s something like that. The point is that a name can’t cover up what’s underneath as we found in our ChnLove review.
We test out and review a ton of dating sites every year in order to put together our compilation review of the hookup sites that actually work. We have pretty high standards and approach every review using the same criteria. Unfortunately, we didn't find a lot to like today.
Yes, Chnlove is now Asiame, but don’t be confused. They haven’t upgraded their service or been bought out by some better company with more ethical practices. The Chnlove scam remains the same. In fact, a change in name is the biggest red flag you can look for in a dating site.
Why would a company change its name suddenly, when they already have a platform and users? There could be a few answers, and none of them good. Maybe the company was sued. Or, maybe they never really had subscribers to begin with, so it doesn’t matter that they change their name. Or, maybe they are just trying to rebrand after some bad media. Indeed, if you do a Google search for Chnlove.com you don’t get the most positive reviews.

ChnLove Is Run by Qpid Network
Besides changing its name, this site has some other high waving red flags. For instance, shortly after logging onto the site, a window asked me if I was “Interested in the following Russian and Ukrainian ladies from our sister site CharmDate.com?” No, thanks.
You can read our review on Charmdate here. In short, it’s not a pretty place to visit. And any site that’s affiliated with them is already going in my ‘sketchy’ category.
But, more importantly, if this site is dedicated to me actually finding a woman, then why wouldn’t they just combine all of their services together? It seems like a simple scheme to get more money out of me, or to get me to distribute sensitive information in many different places. This brings me to my next point.
You have much better options available to you
Just like in our review of Charmdate.com, there are a lot better options out there that you should be taking advantage of. Depending on what you are looking for we suggest the following:
If you just want sex - Check out our list and ratings of the best sites and apps for hooking up. We tried out dozens of "hookup" sites and found the ones that actually deliver
If you want a relationship - Take a peek at our favorite dating apps that worked for us this year. These are the apps that have proven to be very effective for most guys this year.
All of the site above will give you way better results than what you will find on Chnlove.com.
We Found That You Must Pay to Send Basic Messages in Our ChnLove.com Review
Chnlove.com (Excuse me, I mean Asiame.com) has a pretty obvious money making scheme. As soon as I logged in I was inundated with chat boxes that would pop up on the right side of the screen. They stacked on top of one another in an annoying way that made me want to click away from the site altogether. And these messages were a little weird.
“let's explore each other's bodies.” That’s a pretty bold message for someone who lives across the globe. You want me to fly to China to explore your body, and you don’t even know my astrological sign yet! But that one was still less weird than this one: “If I know what love is, it is because of you.” Sorry, honey, but we don’t know each other and I don’t think you know what love is.
These messages are designed, of course, to get me to respond. But, when I try to type a message back, I am told that I need to buy ‘credits’ first. That’s right, you can’t even send a simple message before shoveling out some dough.
But before you go ahead and buy some credits, make sure that what you know who you are talking to.
Now, we are going to help you out here and save some time. You can skip the rest of this review and use your time more wisely on the absolute hookup apps you can actually have success with. These are the sites that can actually get you laid.
Chnlove.com Uses Fake Accounts
One of the biggest red flags that you are dealing with a scammy site is fake profiles. As soon as we see a number of fake profiles we know that the site we are dealing with is not going to make it onto our list of the best sites for dating single cougars. When I first signed up for an account, the site asked me seven really stupid questions. For instance, one of them was “Do you have a secret that you’ve never told anyone?”
How exactly is that question pertinent to my dating profile? After I answered the questions the site said, “Wow, you have quality and beautiful matches!” Wow, how many other girls out there do you think have secrets they have never told anyone? I can’t wait to meet them all so we can keep secrets from each other!
But in all honesty, I’m pretty sure the site says everyone has ‘quality and beautiful matches’. The pictures that popped up of my ‘matches’ looked very generic, to say the least. They all had the same interests, none of which really matched mine. For instance, one profile that popped up said, “I'm 24 years old and from Cebu, Philippine. I'm looking for a man with an age between 18 and 70. In my spare time, I enjoy Music/Play Instruments, Playing Cards/Chess, Sports/Workout,etc.”
Between the ages of 18 and 70! That’s a pretty wide margin, which makes me think that maybe this woman is a robot. I’ve heard that robots will date pretty much anybody.
Even the Testimonials Sound like Robots
In order to seem more legitimate ChnLove.com has provided ‘testimonials’. According to the site, there are thousands of them, but I can only find about ten. They include pictures of happy men with their new, happy, asian girlfriends.
One reads: “This was my first time to use an Internet dating site. The agency answered all my enquiries promptly and the website was uses friendly. I understand the complexities of starting a new relationship however being able to intake and maintain contact with my lady of choice has prover rewarding and geneticial.”
I’m not even going to try to decipher that testimonial. But I think it’s safe to say that it wasn’t written by the nice-looking American man in the photo.
No Information on User Count for Chnlove
Sometimes Asiame.com will list the amount of users online. This usually hovers around 2000, in my experience. But it’s very hard to find information on how many users the site actually has signed up for its service.
One basic search yielded 2919 user profiles, but it’s impossible to know if these are active users or real people at all. The website’s fine print doesn’t have an answer, and neither does their facebook. Any site that doesn’t give you a solid count on their users is definitely not worth trusting with your time or money.
Make Sure You Read the Fine Print
Once, as I was perusing this site for the Chnlove review, I clicked on a button on someone’s profile that said “Say Hi”. Surprisingly, it let me do this without paying any money. But, it did make me agree to three different documents before I could send the generic message.
Well, I read through the documents so that you don’t have to. And what I found was troubling.
For example, in the Terms of Use document it says, “We do not rule out the possibility that besides using this Site and the Services, some of our members might at the same time have relationship with certain service provider that this Site presently cooperates with and/or used to co-operate with, and even pay for their service that is in no connection with this Site.”
Can you imagine making a deal with someone and, before they shake your hand, they say, “I should let you know that I may or may not be cooperating with certain other people and organizations that you have never heard of, and I’m not going to tell you who they are.” That’s one hand that I would not shake.
In another place the terms say “We assume no responsibility for the privacy practices of any third-party agencies that we cooperate with.” In other words, they can do whatever they want with your information.
But the biggest red flag I found in the fine print was something else entirely.
Third Party Service Providers
In the terms of use document it says, “With particular regard to Information of lady members, they are provided on ‘as is’ basis as they were made available to individual Site(s) through registered third-party service providers.” This is legal language saying that, basically, the women on this site probably don’t even know they are on this site and may be in some weird financial agreement with some other, sketchy dating service located somewhere in Asia. In many cases, these ‘third parties’ agree to help women find American husbands in exchange for a fee.
I don’t know about you, but my ideal romance is not a mail-order bride.
ChnLove review verdict - Don’t Fall for Their Sleek Advertising!
Overall, the Chnlove scam is more sophisticated than others. The site isn’t full of adult photographs or NSFW advertisements. It has a relatively easy to use layout and some nice images. Some of the profile pictures even look pretty good, and a reverse search for them on Google doesn’t bring up anything from other sites. However, don’t be taken in by their glitz and glam. I hope that all of the careful research that went into this Chnlove review helps you to see that it’s just another scam.
