After several weeks we put together all of our experiences and compare them to what using the other leading dating and hookups sites is like.

But not every site is legit, so you need to be careful.

It’s going to be pretty obvious to you that we didn’t find a lot to like after reviewing Saucy Dates. From the very beginning, we were a little suspicious and sadly our fears were realized. It just isn’t a very good site, especially when you compare it to a legit, proven site like AFF.
A few things that really look bad:
Before you even finish signing up they try to send you to another site
Legit dating sites don’t try to send you somewhere else before you even signup with them. That makes no sense!
Can you imagine trying to sign up on a site like Match.com and as soon as you start logging in they try to send you to eHarmony? Wouldn’t you be suspicious?
Things like this make it seem like Saucy Dates is just a front that they use to redirect people to visit Fling.
We started getting a lot of fake messages right away
Before we even filled out our profile or added a photo we started getting messages like the one above. We literally had a message waiting when we first registered from a “woman”.
It’s pretty obvious that all of these messages are automatically generated to make it seem like there are real women using this site. Guys log in, see the message, and then have to sign up for a paid membership in order to read the full message and respond.
Super sneaky and a huge red flag that you should avoid this site! There is not reason to use this site when legit options like AFF exist.
Now that we’ve covered the quick overview of our Saucy Dates review lets get into the details:
A strange first impression
When I first navigated to SaucyDates.com, I was brought to a login page with a beautiful woman in the background. She was laying on a bed, staring longingly out from the screen. It was a pretty typical front page for a dating site. It all seemed normal enough, but as so often happens, as I progressed down the rabbit hole, things started to get weirder.
First, there were long, slow, loading pages between every step in the sign-up process. The screen would go black and a loading circle would pop up for several seconds. It seemed a little low-budget, frankly. They also asked me some strange questions, like what was the country of origin for the last person I slept with. What does that have to do with anything? This was starting to get bizarre.
Still, I continued. They sent me to a page where they guaranteed me they were more legit than their competitors. “Yeah,” I thought, “we’ll see about that.”
AFF is the hookup app you want
If you have made it this far into the review I respect your commitment to finding a legit hookup app. So much so, that I’m going to tell you to skip Saucydates.com and just check out AFF.
If you were at all interested in Saucy Dates than AFF is going to blow your mind. They have the largest number of users of any hookup app (even Tinder) and are a way better option for most guys.
They are also completely focused on hookups instead of dates (which seems to be what Tinder has become these days) so you are not going to be wasting time with girls just looking for attention or a free meal.
We think they are the site that gives most guys the best chance of actually meeting a woman for some fun between the sheet. Take a look at their free trial and see what you can do.
Stripped down (in a bad way)
SaucyDates’ home page was, to put it nicely, low-key. Or, maybe I should say stripped down, but not in the fun way. Basically they just had a bunch of names and profile pictures in a long list down the middle of the screen. There was no title or menu bar at the top, and there were no descriptions of the women.
It would have been sleek and cool if it were more functional. But only a few local women popped up in my search, and a bunch of the profiles didn’t have pictures.
So, my first impressions were weird, and my second impressions were just as bad.
No location search (or any other filter)
When I tried to change my SaucyDates.com’s search preferences, I wasn’t able to change the location of my search. I couldn’t even choose what kind of profiles I wanted to view. I could only choose the age, gender, and radius of my search. The smallest radius was 75 miles away. Seriously, I don’t want to browse women who live in the next state over. Why would they do that?
Sites that don’t allow for comprehensive searches are often trying to hide something, like the fact that they don’t actually have many members in any given location. That seemed to be the case with SaucyDates. I could only find three members who were actually in my city.
Saucy Dates is not free
The cost of a dating site is not necessarily indicative of its value. Many of the best dating sites are free, while others charge a small sum each month. Just because a site isn’t free doesn’t mean it’s bad, but it does mean you’ll want to make sure you are getting your money’s worth.
The issue with SaucyDates was that I couldn’t do anything before paying that would help me determine the quality of the site. I couldn’t view the whole profile of the people on their site. I couldn’t send a message to them. It wasn’t a good sign. In fact, it’s a red flag for a scam.
A lot of the fraud dating sites out there make it so you can’t really get to know any women before buying into a membership. Once you pay, it’s too late to realize they don’t really have anyone you want to date anyway!
Actions speak louder than words
When I first got taken to a “membership upgrade” page on this site, I clicked away from it. But then I was taken to another page which asked me why I didn’t want to pay. I clicked on the option that said I don’t want to pay for any dating site at all.
Some text popped up which said they understand why I think that way, but “Paying for dating means you have less competition and therefore more replies and more dates. You’re not paying for a date, you’re paying to use a secure, genuine and high quality platform that respects your privacy and data.”
“That’s a fair point,” I thought. They had other text like that across their site, where they explained why they are a legit site, unlike their competitors. But, I have to say, all of their talk rang hollow because I wasn’t really seeing anything worth paying for on the site. Actions, or in this case content, speaks louder than words.
Saucy Dates doesn’t use fake profiles; so they claim
One of SaucyDates’ major claims is that they don’t use fake profiles, but I wanted to find out if this was really true. Since I couldn’t message anyone to verify their identity (without first paying), I decided to do a reverse Google image search on their profile pictures. I did it with the first woman who came up in my search.
Her profile said her name was Cassandra, but I found a link to another site where her name was Марина Овсяникова. I have no idea how to pronounce that, so don’t even ask. The site was all in a language that looked to be Russian or something similar, and it had a ton of pictures of her. So, either she splits her time between some Eastern European country and the Southwestern United States, or her profile was a total fake.
Like I said above, actions speak louder than words. And the actions of SaucyDate point in only one direction: Scam!
Hard to even log in
While I was doing research for this review, I accidentally navigated away from the site. When I went back and tried to log in, it wouldn’t let me. It wanted me to make a whole new account. It took me about five minutes to figure out how to log into my old account.
That should be a dating site’s most basic function: help your users log in. Any site that makes it hard to log in is obviously not going to be good at helping you find a date. Plus, it suggests they aren’t counting on multiple logins. They hope you’ll give them your money and then go away.
Associated websites, no thank you!
I decided to read into the fine print for my SaucyDates review, and what I found wasn’t so encouraging. They have a section where they say: “To increase the number of members available to you we operate a network of associated websites that share users.” They list the sites at the bottom of the terms of use page. They include “Puresext.com and Bliss.dating.” If those don’t sound like sketchy domain names, I don’t know what does.
This is a typical ploy scam sites use to make it seem like they have more members than they do. They source their profiles from other sites, which themselves may have fake profiles on them. How is a woman going to date me when she doesn’t even know she is listed on this site?
No social media presence
The best dating sites out there have a robust social media presence because they know their members want to hear dating tips and other information about the service. Legit businesses seek interaction with the public because it’s a good thing. SaucyDates.com doesn’t even have a Facebook page. They are totally absent from social media from what I can find. This usually means they are trying to lie low, and that’s not what you want from a dating site. In fact, it’s a little bit sketchy.
In conclusion: Stay away from Saucy Dates
Seriously, this was one of the weirdest (and least user friendly) sites I have ever reviewed. Their platform seems like it was made in the late nineties. There’s no evidence they even have any legit profiles and the site uses “loading screens” like it’s a first-generation Playstation game. It’s not cute, and it’s not going to help you meet women.
