2023 Flirt Local Review - Is FlirtLocal.com Legit or Worthless?
When I first visited Flirtlocal.com, I thought that I may have found a fun and simple casual dating site. It has a straightforward design, like a Tumblr page, and a decent pink/blue color scheme. The logo includes a heart and a target. It seemed innocent enough. That is, until I looked a little bit closer for our Flirt Local review.
On the front page of the site, there is, of course, a parade of profiles. They feature photos of beautiful women in cleavage-baring selfies. There are no pictures of women hiking up a mountain, or posing with their bestie in their graduation gown. It’s all ‘sexy’ poses and flattering camera angles. None of this is unusual, we have tested out and reviewed a huge number of sites for our annual review of the best hookup sites so we have been around the block.
After that we went deeper and really looked into the site to see if it would be worth anyone else’s time. We are very particular with how we test out sites and apps:

After spending a lot of time trying out Flirt Local we got a really good feel for what the site has to offer. In short, it wasn’t much, especially compared to AFF.
After testing out and reviewing over a hundred different sites and apps we’ve become very good at spotting the signs that you need to look out for. We cover this in great detail further down our review but a couple of major issues we had were:
“visitors” started looking at our blank profile immediately
Before even had a chance to complete our profile we started getting notifications that it was being viewed. That’s strange by itself but the women viewing it were actually pretty attractive, or at least their photos were.
It became pretty obvious pretty quickly that these were fake. There is absolutely no way that hot women are just waiting to view blank profiles on sites like this. Very sketchy!
Automated messages started right away
One tactic shady sites like to try is sending out automated messages that look like they’re coming from attractive women. It gets guys thinking that women are reaching out to them and they want to respond. You would too right?
However, you have to sign up for a PAID membership in order to respond. What you don’t find out until after you pay is that it was just an automated message sent by the site to get you to pay.
Again, VERY Sketchy!
There are much better options than Flirt Local
When you have options out there like AFF there is no reason to spend any time on Flirtlocal. We have zero confidence you will get results and you should be smarter with your time. Use something that has proven to work for a lot of guys before you.

Flirt Local is All About the Money!
It’s incredibly easy, even suspiciously easy, to make a profile on FlirtLocal.com. All you need is an email address, a date of birth, and a hand to navigate your cursor. They don’t even require a verification email or a photo. But, apparently, photos don’t really matter on this site. Whether or not you have a photo or a self-description or anything else on your profile, you are bound to get matches (which they call ‘flirts’) and messages within a matter of minutes.
“New here? You are appearing first in the new members section & search results for me so thought I would write you before someone else does lol.”
Right, Dirtygirl1986, I’m sure I just happened to pop up with my beautiful, blank profile and spark your interest! I knew better, but I decided to respond anyways just to see how far I could go with this fake account’s artificial intelligence. I tried to write back: “Hey there, what are your interests?” but the message didn’t go through.
This is where I hit their paywall. Flirt Local is set up, quite cleverly, so that in order to have any genuine interaction with any other ‘members’ (or bots, in this case), you have to sign up for a premium membership, which is at least $99 for 6 months. Of course, they wait until you are ready to chat with a hot, half-naked woman before they say anything about payment.
That seems to be the sites whole strategy, throw in some bait, and wait from the fish to bite. Once they have you roped into a chat, they ask for your credit card info.
If you actually want to find someone local use AFF
We really didn’t find much to like in our Flirt Local review. Instead of going through all of the major problems we found (though we do below) you should just click over to AFF to check out their free trial.
You have already wasted enough time researching Flirtlocal.com that we are going to help you get on the right track. AFF has the largest number of users (60,000,000+) in English-speaking countries and has been around for almost 15 years. You don’t stick around that long without doing something right.
We had the best success using their site and found it to be particularly good for guys that are not super handsome (especially compared to Tinder) and guys interested in dating women 30+. If you fall into either of those categories you are going to like what you see.

There May Be a Real Profile, Maybe Even Two!
The messages I got seemed to all be from fake profiles. Why do they seem fake? Well, for one thing, nearly every profile I visited is of a woman who is A) Catholic B) about 5’6” and C) lists their favorite sex position as ‘Doggy style’. Yes, this dating site has a question about your favorite position. Classy. We have tried a ton of dating sites in preparation for our compilation review of the top hookup sites and this is a first for us.
Secondly, the messages are boiler plate. They don’t mention anything about my profile specifically, and they are far too charming to be from a real, nervous human being on the other end.
I can’t find any count of total profiles on Flirt Local. The owners of the site don’t seem interested in providing their members with much information. But a quick search for profiles in an urban area yields dozens of pages of results (again, the actual number of results is not listed). I assume most of them are bots, but there must be at least one or two real profiles mixed in there. However, sifting through hundreds of fake messages for that one real woman seems tedious and dangerous. Honestly, I just feel bad for any of the real people on this site.
We found some extremely questionable links in our Flirt Local Review
At the top of the site, near the ‘nude’ button, there is another button. This one is labeled simply “live sex”. I clicked on it, and it opened a new tab in my browser that just repeatedly refreshed itself without ever taking me to another site. I assume that my amazing adblocker was protecting me from whatever virus ridden live-cam site it was trying to take me to. Thank you, adblocker!
The Terms and Conditions on FlirtLocal.com Sound Like They Were Written by a Sketchy Drug Dealer
“You are most strenuously advised to trust no one but your Mother, and certainly not to trust the rascals or programs you will meet here. In this Agreement, you release us from all liability stemming from any of this.”
That is an actual quote from the terms and conditions on Flirtlocal.com that you are required to agree to before making an account. It’s not a short document, but I read through it all so that you don’t have to. In short, it says that the site most likely has a ton of scam artists on it and maybe has no real people at all, but that it’s not their fault! At least, legally they can’t be held liable.
But the real meat of the agreement is in this one line: “We aim to entertain and amuse you – and in order to enhance your enjoyment of the time you spend with us, we will employ technical means to engage you in the simulation of flirting with and discovering other attractive people.”
In other words, they are admitting that they send fake messages from fake profiles in order to ‘simulate’ flirting. Scam alert, code red!
The Company is Based in Guernsey
It’s not easy to find the address of HK International Limited. In their ‘About Us’ section, at the very bottom, they write that “If you insist” on sending them mail, you can send it to an address in St. Peter Port, Guernsey.
Where is Guernsey, you ask? I had to look it up myself. Apparently, it’s a small island off the coast of Great Britain. It’s not part of Britain, and, according to Wikipedia, the country gets 37% of its GDP from Financial services, such as banking, fund management, and insurance. In other words, it’s an offshore tax haven for sketchy businesses, like HK International Limited.
I dug a little bit deeper into the company, and I read many accounts of them ripping off their customers. It’s not just Flirt Local that they own. One complaint that I read listed other dating sites that the company operates.
They Have Sketchy Promotion
Flirt Local’s Facebook page has the caption “The Best Change You Got” on it’s banner picture. What does that mean? It sounds like a mix between Barack Obama’s campaign slogan and what you say to your girlfriend to make her stay with you. “I’m not great, but I’m the best you got!”
The Facebook page has a few strange, clearly photoshopped pictures that look like the stock images that come up when you search for ‘hot girl’. Other than that, there isn’t really anything.
When I was searching for other reviews of Flirt Local, I came across a page called “Flirt Local Reviews”. It’s a wordpress site with “100% real unbiased reviews of Flirt Local site”. The reviews sound like they were spat out of Google Translate.
For example: “Another positive aspect of Flirtlocal would be their fair and affordable subscription rates offered. These prices are quite fair considering how satisfying the results are.”
How much did they have to pay someone to write that gem? My personal favorite, however, is this one: “Your conversations will be easy and flowing as flirtlocal.com’s large pool of active users will allow you to talk on a daily basis, making for a smooth connection.”

Final Flirt Local Review Verdict – Don’t Even Flirt with this One
There are a ton of dating sites out there. Some of them are legit. And some of them are in that grey area between legit and total scam, where it may be worth playing around a bit, as long as you know what you are getting into. Then, there are the low-down, trashy scams that aren’t even worth a single click. Put Flirt Local in that last category: total scam.
